Should I Dry Brush Before or After Showering?

Timing matters when it comes to dry brushing. Here's when to use your IKOU Japanese Dry Body Brush for the best results.

Always Dry Brush Before Your Shower

Dry brushing should always be performed on dry skin before showering. Brushing beforehand allows you to rinse away loosened skin cells, leaving your skin clean and refreshed.

Brushing on wet or damp skin reduces the exfoliating effect and may cause unnecessary friction.

After Your Shower

Once you've showered, apply a nourishing body oil or moisturiser while your skin is still slightly damp. This helps lock in hydration and makes the most of your freshly exfoliated skin.

We recommend pairing with an IKOU Body Oil or Body Lotion for best results.
